The Good Pony Company, located in Chardon Ohio, offers many services including, boarding, training, lessons in riding, carriage driving and long lining, leases, pony parties, carriage ride parties, sleigh rides and the Good Pony Apprentice Program. We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for our horses and instruction for our students.  Our charming 15 acre farm is just minutes away from the Lake Erie College Equestrian Center.

 Jennifer Brown – Owner/Trainer

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Equestrian Facilities Management from Lake Erie College. She was a member of the Intercollegiate Riding Team, worked as a groom at Thistledown, and rode for an Arabian horse farm.  She also completed a two-year internship at a Norwegian Fjord farm where she was introduced to (and fell in love with) carriage driving.  She then spent fourteen years as the Barn Manager and Head Trainer at a Welsh pony farm, training the ponies for riding and carriage driving.  Jennifer has trained with such noted drivers as David Schneider, Jimmy Fairclough, Lisa Singer, and Debbie Banfield.  When Fieldstone Farm (which offers riding and driving lessons for the handicapped in Bainbridge Ohio) decided to develop a carriage driving program, Jennifer was called on to participate in the training of the first class of driving instructors.  Jennifer is a member of the Western Reserve Carriage Association. 

In 2008, Jennifer and her husband Brent opened The Good Pony Company.  Dreams really do come true!  Here she focuses on providing exceptional care for all her boarding and training equines, and provides solid, safe instruction to her riding and driving students.
